Any other year, you’d see a pair of Porsche GT3-Rs in the hauler headed to Sebring in late February for the IGT Season Opener; but this year its a single car/single driver effort.
Rob Blake was forced to withdraw from the race due to recent overseas events that demand full time attention to his business. “This would be the last race on the schedule I’d ever want to miss; Home Track, Close to Home, Huge Field, Great Weather….it’s just bad luck all around.”
Juan Lopez-Santini will replace Blake in the #24 991 GT3-R for IGT Round 1 with 901 Shop supporting the entry for 2020.
Looking down the list of the 2020 IGT schedule, Blake has committed to Round 3 at Road America.
Blake is also planning a return trip to Road America in August for SRO GTSC Round 3, and possibly Round 4 at Watkins Glen. The decision to enter the SRO series comes after an announcement that GT3 spec cars were added to the newly created series in December 2019.
